Join us for this 4-hour online workshop facilitated by Monica Lord, Flourish Therapy & Consulting.
This training is designed for new and experienced community sector workers who want to build their skills in supporting people living with emotional dysregulation.
Outcomes:
Unpack what emotion dysregulation is, how to identify it, and what the impacts of emotion dysregulation are on the brain and body
Explore how to support clients to identify their "early warning signs" of emotion dysregulation
Introduce concepts such as the "window of tolerance" and the "brain-body connection"
Briefly introduce participants to mental health conditions which frequently present with emotion dysregulation symptoms, including Borderline Personality Disorder, trauma and Oppositional Defiant Disorder
Explore a variety of practical interventions for emotion dysregulation drawn from therapeutic frameworks such as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Participants will be provided with comprehensive digitised resources and offered the opportunity to problem-solve challenging presentations in practice.
Pricing: $75 for members and $150 for non-members.

About the Facilitator
Monica Lord is the owner of Flourish Therapy & Consulting and lecturer in Social Work at Griffith University.
Monica holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Griffith University, a Master of Youth Mental Health from University of Melbourne and is a current PhD Candidate at Griffith University. Monica has 15 years direct clinical experience working with children, young people, women, and families, and has spent 8 years running her own private practice on the Gold Coast.
